Suits you madam

It's all very well having a lovely wedding day look in mind – but does it suit your delicate features? A good make-up artist will be honest about the most flattering look for you, but we can at least let you know what suits your colouring best! Here, top notch make-up lady Lou Page shares her colour secrets.

Blondes
• On your brows, use a taupe pencil to enhance the shape – that's all you need, anything darker looks distinctly unnatural
• With mascara, you're best to use brown on the top lash and black on the bottom – this will create an appearance of openness
• Use brown or black eyeliner otherwise your eyes will disappear (not literally)

Brunettes
• For your brows, use a brown pencil to enhance the shape
• It's best to use black mascara on both the top and bottom lashes
• Soft peachy blushers look great on brunettes

Redheads
• Your brows often lack definition, so using a taupe tone to gently define them will make a huge difference
• Brown mascara is best, black is too dark for you
• Nutmeg tones work well as a blusher for redheads – stay away from pink!

Dark skin
• You're lucky, you need few products as your natural colouring has such impact
• Purple and wine shades make great tones for lipsticks
