Stuart Wood is the chief photographer behind 1500 Photography. He believes flexibility is the key to his award-winning images. "It may seem simple but I just enjoy making beautiful images," says Stuart. "The best thing about shooting a wedding is seeing how fantastic the couple look, and knowing how amazing the finished images will be." For Stuart, his 16 years' experience has taught him to be sympathetic to the intensity of emotions evident on the big day. "I understand whether the groom is nervous or the bride is selfconscious," he says. "I have great experience and, coupled with my skills as a photographer, I can not only put the jitters on hold, but also still capture the unfolding events." Stuart believes in taking classic shots and has a simple but effective method of putting a couple at ease. "Show them what you are doing," he says definitively. "A pre-wedding shoot can help sometimes, but simply letting the couple see what you are doing every now and then, on the back of the digital camera, always generates confidence." Weddings can be unpredictable and Stuart is ready to capture whatever happens. "I don't rely on shooting thousands of images and hoping there are some good ones. I work deliberately, providing good solid portraits of the wedding and stunning images of the couple," he says.
