When asked his approach to shooting a wedding, award-winning photographer Alan Hutchison's response is simple. "Have fun and try to forget that we're here," he tells the bride and groom. Recently married themselves, Alan and his business partner Morag know all about the months of organisation that go into planning a wedding. "I know how hard it can be to switch off from 'planning' mode and finally relax and enjoy the day. So if we can help inject a bit of fun it helps everyone unwind and relax into the day." That relaxed atmosphere shines through in Alan's photography. His preference is to be in the background capturing the special moments rather than trying to manufacture them. "We also like to dress things up with the occasional set-piece 'wow' image," adds Morag, "That's the kind of image that the bride and groom will display on their wall for years to come." After the wedding, it's straight down to business to get the images back to the bride and groom immediately after their honeymoon. "We just can't wait to see the look of sheer joy on their faces," Alan says. Right now the company is offering a complimentary pre-wedding shoot with all their packages.
