When Ally Stuart starts talking about her work as a wedding photographer, her enthusiasm is obvious: “I genuinely love being at every wedding and treat each one as though it was my first. I really enjoy the buzz of a wedding,” she told Real Life Weddings. “Even after photographing hundreds of couples I still can’t wait to get back to my computer and open the mages. If the photos make me smile, say ‘wow’ or ‘aah’, then I know that the couple and their family will love them.”

Ally takes the time to think about how all the guests and family are feeling as the couple marry and tries to capture that in the photos. “There are so many emotions at a wedding and it’s important to capture the spirit of the day. I can work fast and with a smile and being female helps a lot – I notice much more of the detail than lots of men would.”

Her style is very relaxed, which helps put the couple at ease. “The images look totally unposed but they have usually had a little help. I do the formal family groups in a very casual style, everyone usually ends up laughing.” Ally says if couples don’t generally like being photographed she will try to make them forget
about the pictures and just concentrate on each other. “Often I have taken the shots before they realise. A glass of champagne (for them, not me) usually helps too.” Traditional story book and magazine style albums available. Inspired with creative flair.
