Morag Warrender at brown’s photography started taking photographs of the school rock band as a teenager, because she had a crush on the singer - and this led to a love affair that continues to this day, not with the singer, but with photography. After completing a degree in photography at Napier University in Edinburgh, Morag tried her hand at various types of photography before specialising in weddings. “It was the best decision I ever made,” she told Real Life Weddings. “It’s so rewarding and I’m now getting phone calls from ex-bride and grooms to do baby photos. I love it.”

She loves the opportunity to photograph on so many different levels, from still-life detail shots to classic portraits and all the fun and emotion
in between. Morag is also able to relate to brides thanks to personal experience: “I organised my own wedding on a wee Scottish island four years ago - so can appreciate the thought and time every little detail takes.

The last thing you want is some bossy photographer coming along and hijacking the day. My style is to photograph the day as it happens while still getting all the important family groups and portraits. I also know that despite your best efforts, things don’t always run to plan, so I have sellotape, plasters, pliers, a sewing kit, hankies and a fan in my camera bag just in case!”
