John Baikie is passionate about wedding photography. Based in the highlands, he travels extensively throughout the UK, covering weddings of all types. Despite his many years’ experience in the industry, John told Real Life Weddings, “I still get excited and a bit nervous before every wedding, and thrive on the occasion.”

In recent years John has picked up several prestigious awards for his modern style of photography and is now in demand not just in his local area but all over the country; especially since more and more brides are starting to look for something a bit ‘different’ from their wedding albums. Based in one of the most remote but picturesque areas of the UK makes photography fun for John, as he often gets the chance to shoot brides in stunning locations.

“I try to mix my wedding photography with my fashion work,” he says, “making the couples feel and look like models for the day.” John is finding that for many couples, one photo-shoot with him just isn’t enough: “My ‘Post-Wedding Shoot’ service is proving really popular. It allows the bride and groom to get dressed up again after the wedding and have a bit more fun.”
