For George, photography is all about capturing those one-off moments - with wedding photography, he enjoys the fact that he's able to contribute to the success of what will be one of the biggest days in the couple's lives. George uses the time he has efficiently so that he doesn't interrupt the smooth running of the day. "I've yet to be responsible for a burnt dinner at a wedding!" he says. But while preparation is key, sometimes it's the unexpected opportunities that provide George with the chance to test his spontaneity and creativity. George's style is best described as natural and relaxed. He captures the day using a combination of informal family portraits and candid unobtrusive shots - this approach particularly suits couples who don't normally like getting their photograph taken. "I avoid taking over the show and forcing cliched and staged poses," he says. "I document the day as it naturally unfolds, with images that provide a timeless record of events. I want my couples to look back at their photos as if their wedding happened yesterday, and to remember it as an enjoyable and fun experience where they held centre-stage, not the photographer!" George believes that meeting the needs and expectations of his customers is paramount to the success of his business.
