Seppi Preston studied photography in London, before setting up a studio with his wife. Since then he’s been busy with portraits, fashion shoots and weddings. As he told Real Life Weddings, “It’s great to have found something I love and give 100% to.” You could say his special photography skill is getting people to relax, then capturing their innate qualities: “Everyone says I’m good at showing personalities and emotions,” he reflects.

He’s great with people generally – a self confessed ‘people watcher’ – managing to unobtrusively shoot those key moments. His informal yet timeless style has earned Seppi a few awards with the Master Photography Association, which, as he says, “is nice!” But it’s the challenge that’s most important to him, the actual experiences.

And he’s had plenty of those: “I recently shot a wedding at the top of a mountain. OK, it was a hill, but once I’d lugged my gear up, it felt like a mountain.” But it didn’t go quite to plan on the way down; “I slipped and fell with all my gear; my equipment survived, thankfully, but I was covered from head to toe in mud!” Like a born photographer, he automatically adds: “Don’t think anyone got a photo of it though…”
