Photography has been a passion for Adrian Tilly since he borrowed his Dad’s film SLR as a young lad. "Turning professional is the best decision I’ve ever made, and I wouldn’t swap what I do for the world," he says.
Adrian loves to capture one of the most important days of a couple’s life and beautifully present it to be treasured and continually re-discovered for generations to come. "I love the buzz from seeing something - whether it’s a moment or a beautiful object - and capturing it while it fleetingly exists."
He is also a photographer driven by curiosity; he has a need to know how and why things work inside out. And as he points out, "Anyone can pick up a camera, but it takes dedication to create images that shine. I always photograph with the aim of producing natural and beautiful images, letting the personality of each bride and groom shine through my photography; no one wedding is the same."
Other important qualities that aid his photography include an innate ability to visualise a finished picture, the perseverance to wait for the right moment to capture it and a narrator’s ability to tell a story through images. "I go to extreme lengths to get every shot," Adrian continues. "I aim to make everyone look their best with each photograph, and the resulting image is only the final piece in the jigsaw."
