Wedding photography
for Paula is a passion,
or perhaps, as
her husband often
comments, an
obsession!
After studying printing
and design at college,
then travelling for a
few years, returning
to college to study
photography was a natural progression.
Paula has now opened up a studio in Blantyre,
offering natural and artistic images to couples
who are looking for something just a little bit
different.
"I am fortunate to spend my time with couples
on the happiest days of their lives," Paula
says. "It's a wonderful privilege to be chosen
to document the biggest day in someone's
life. Producing images that make people beam
with joy is a wonderful job!"
Paula's approach to a wedding day is to
document the celebration as it unfolds, posing
some groups and bride and groom shots, and
working quickly in an assertive but friendly
manner. "People get bored when they have to
hang around for long periods," she says. The
emphasis is always on taking natural and fun
images, with some reportage and traditional
family line up shots too.
Paula's positive attitude shines through in
her work and, when combined with a calm
and reassuring approach, the end result is
fantastically relaxed and beautiful photographs.
