Duff House is the perfect romantic wedding venue, with its 18th-century Baroque architecture making it an elegant setting for a marriage celebration. Equally important is the fact that each wedding is tailored specifically to the bride and groom’s individual needs. Ceremonies for up to 80 guests take place in the South Drawing Room on the second floor. The room offers an unrivalled ambience thanks to magnificent antique tapestries and portraits. A grand piano is also available for accompanying music. Head Steward, John Mair, wedding co-ordinator at the House for the last nine years, is happy to help you find a pianist – and indeed a piper, florist and minister too, should you need them. The North Drawing Room and Long Gallery are available for Champagne toasts after the ceremony, with the Vestibule and Great Staircase offering a fantastic backdrop for photographs. If the weather is co-operating on the day, the sweeping horseshoe staircase at the front of the house and the beautiful grounds both make ideal locations for outdoor shots. In addition to the stunning architecture, the staff are warm, friendly and extremely accommodating – nothing is too much trouble. In short, a fairytale wedding awaits!
