The famous four-star Dunblane Hydro is situated in the beautiful Perthshire countryside, set in ten acres of manicured lawns. This Victorian mansion hotel has been hosting weddings for over a century now, and can cater for parties of between 60 and 370 guests for a sit-down meal. But as night falls, up to 500 guests can be accommodated within the hotel.

Staff are happy to work with individual clients to work out a package that’s right for their budget. Paula Jarvie, the hotel wedding co-ordinator, believes it is the photographic opportunities of the landscaped gardens that make the hotel such a special place to hold a wedding.

“Also, the size of the hotel means all types of weddings suit the space and because of that we are very flexible,” she said. “I will be as involved as the couple either want or need me to be.” Dunblane Hydro can provide either thrilling or leisurely activities; alternatively, indulge in the Triangle Health and Fitness Club, which is a separate complex within the grounds featuring a swimming pool.

The hotel is the perfect base for exploring Stirlingshire and all the attractions that the home of ‘Braveheart’ has to offer. Furthermore, the central location means the hotel is only a 45-minute drive or short train ride from the capital or Glasgow.
