The Kinkell Byre is a highly versatile complex of
function venues that have been converted from
byres and stables. Located just outside St
Andrews, it commands spectacular views over
the bay and the Firth of Tay. Retaining many
of the buildings' original features, Kinkell Byre
is not only full of character and rustic charm
but also offers a truly flexible events space,
catering from 20 to 2000 people. Owner
Sandy Fyfe says that the venue is best suited
to couples who are looking for something a
wee bit different; "The Byre allows people to
create an event that is very personal to them -
it's really a blank canvas. And because of the
massive number of ways that we can arrange
the layout, couples have considerable freedom
to do things their own way, both for the party
and the wedding ceremony itself."
When asked what the venue's 'Unique Selling
Point' is, Sandy simply says, "The Byre itself is
unique, it's different from any other venue."
Stunning location?
Tick. Versatile
venue? Tick. Staff
to help organise
your day? Tick! "We
will offer as much
or as little help as
a couple requires,"
Sandy says, "and
have a list of
suggested suppliers
that is constantly
updated. We understand what a huge day this
is for the couple. In fact, it's a real privilege to
help them make the most of it."
